Every 3 years the world largest plastic exhibition takes place in
Düsseldorf, Germany. From more than 100 countries 242.000 trade
visitors (12.000 more than 2004) visited the show.
SCHILLING-KNOBEL (EPS), TECHNOPARTNER SAMTRONIC (TPS) and the
Thermofix® Technology Center (TTC) have been participating the show
once again on the Messrs. PALLMANN stand in Hall 9 / A 22.
EPS/TPS/TTC and PALLMANN showed the actual generation of the
pLine® to produce Wood-Plastic-Composites or better to say HighTec
Woods up to a width of 2,2 m and a thickness from ~1 - 10 mm boards
(pBoard®) which has been again an innovative highlight of the "K".
PALLWOOD® granules produced of wood flour and plastic material by
PALLMANN’S PALLTRUDER® is the basis for the manufacturing for
pBoard®.
EPS/TPS presented during the "K" the newly opened Thermofix® Technology Center (TTC) located nearby its headquarters and
manufacturing site in the Stuttgart area.
A complete Thermofix® (pLine®) production range has been
installed for running tests of all kind of material + products in
sheet or roll, to do R&D and process development work as well as
pilot production, even small production capacity is available.
The installation with a length of nearly 45 meters can produce
products with a net width of 1.3m. Several unwinding stations as
well as scattering machines installed on the extended bottom belt
guarantees a wide range of flexibility in "engineering" new
products.
Another highlight on the PALLMANN booth was the presentation of
the "FOUR PARTNERS":
AMORIM, WACKER, PALLMANN, EPS/TPS/TTC
launching the newly developed CPC (Cork Polymer Composite)
products.
The CPC Compound (Cork with Polymer from Wacker) produced with
the Palltruder® was processed on the pFix® to a continuous sheet
with thicknesses from 2 - 12 mm. The CPC can be used in many
different industries (automotive, flooring, furniture…) with
outstanding properties (water-resistant, heat-insulating…)
The "K" approved its unique position to be the most important
plastic show in the world, therefore see you again at "K 2010" from
27th of October - 3rd of November.
